About the book
An annual ice sculpture festival draws the attention of an extraterrestrial visitor, who learns how to create such art and decides to use local resources to sculpt a piece in a gesture of goodwill. All the water in the ocean is sent to the stratosphere, where the ice sculptor uses splendid techniques to create crystal dominoes scattered by a giant of the cosmos. In the world of the ice sculptor, art is the sole reason for civilization’s existence. After the ice sculptor creates the pinnacle of beauty, but also brings forth devastation and disaster, humanity decides during Earth’s last breaths to fight for their survival.

About the Author
- Rodolfo Santullo is a Mexican-born Uruguayan writer, journalist, comic book writer and editor. Santullo was born in Mexico City in 1979 but moved to Montevideo and has lived there since 1984. He is the author of the graphic novels Los últimos días del Graf Spee, Cena con Amigos, Acto de Guerra, Valizas Dengue El Club de los Ilustres Zitarrosa 40 Cajones Etchenike and Far South among others.
- JOK was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in the seventies and has been working as a writer and artist since 1993. His work ́s been published in USA, England, Italy, France, Spain, Cyprus, Canada, China, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
JOK ́s early works for English speaking market include "The Hill" and the spaghetti western series "Vengeance of the Vapor" (both written by Sal Cipriano) which were published through Markosia during 2007. Not long after that, Diego also did art for “Vampires and Cells”, an all ages science book part of the “Science and Monsters" released by Capstone Press.
Later on, JOK worked for the Italian market with Argentinian veteran writer Emilio Balcarce. Their series called Funeral (Sci Fi), Terminal (Steampunk), Knightmare (Sci Fi/Fantasy) and Valkiria (Heroic Fantasy) have been successfully released in Argentina as well (Funeral has also been published in Spain as well). Back to the US market, his work on “Mixtape”, a teenage drama from Ardden Entertainment, has been critically acclaimed. The same happened with the miniseries "Big Game Hunters" (Steampunk/Horror), released by Space Goat Publishing. In 2016 JOK was distinguished as a guest in "World Artists Illustrate Beijing" Festival, along with top notch artists from all over Europe.
JOK also devotes his time to various creator owned projects involving different genres. For the European market, he did "40 Coffins" (Horror, written by award winning Rodolfo Santullo). This critically acclaimed (and awarded) book was released in Spain, Argentina, Italy, USA, Brazil and France through Mosquito Editions (receiving raging reviews). “Merlin and Hector” (Fantasy) has also been published in Argentina, UK and soon in Brazil (for his work on Merlin and Hector, Diego received a national Carlos Trillo award as best artist in 2016). JOK ́s currently working on "Zomvikings" (Horror, also written by Santullo) to be published in Italy and Argentina at least.
More recently, His short story "The Rabbi" was published in Heavy Metal Magazine and his creator owned series "Dungeons and Burglars" for David Lloyd ́s Aces Weekly (UK), was also released in Argentina and Brazil. His children book "Atchis!" (written by Diego with art by Carlos Aón) has just been selected to be included in all public libraries in Buenos Aires. JOK ́s work on the fantasy comic book "Camulus: Fugitive God" (Heroic Fantasy) has been released in Argentina, Italia and England almost at the same time. He also did the art for the "Zombie Bestiarium" written by famous writer Luciano Saracino and released in Buenos Aires ́ International Book Fair this year. American miniseries as "Lineage" (Steampunk/Supernatural) and "Red Range" (Western/Fantasy) featuring Diego ́s art, have been succesfully founded through Kickstarter and will be released along 2019 for the American Market.
